Yugawara Mandarin Orange Picking

From Oku-Yugawara to Hakone, the mountains feature various colored leaves, Mandarin oranges cultivated at the looped land of the coast area had ripen in gold.

The secret of the great sweet taste comes from the mild weather condition of the slope land and the sea. To grow sweet mandarin oranges need warm climate condition and sufficient sun lights.

Well-grown Mandarin oranges in Yugawara. Please enjoy the fresh taste.

Have a funny orange picking experience while over look the magnificent scenery of Sagami bay.

• You can enjoy orange picking at various farms in the town.

• “Orange Picking Association” runs free pickup service which bring tourist to the orange patch that had already in ripen condition.

• You can also enjoy barbecues in the orange fields. Reservation required. For more info, please call Orange Picking Association.

From Oct. 5 (Saturday) to Dec. 23 (Monday and national holiday) of 2013

From 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Fees
Adult 300 yen, child 250 yen, baby 200 yen (eating as much as you like)

* If you want to bring some oranges home, you need to pay extra money.
The association information desk

● The information desk will be held everyday during the season.
Alongside Chitose river, under JR guardrail
(Turn at the traffic light “Chitose-bashi” of Route 135, drive through the road along side the Chitose River, under JR guardrail)

● Information desk opens only on Saturday and Sunday during the season.
Inside the Yugawara Station (Once exited the Yugawara Station ticket gate, on the right side)
About the information desk

* Information desk may close during the business hours due to bad weathers such as heavy rains.
* For orange picking, no reservation required.

Please ask the information desk if you have any questions.
Trailer bus need to make contact to the office the day before the arrival.

* There is free pickup service from Yugawara Station to the farm.
