Feel and embrace the culture at this urban style resort

Clematis no Oka is a artistic resort surrounded by abundant green environment of foot area of Mt. Fuji.

The resort contains many museums including Vangi Sculpture Garden Museum which features many masterpieces created by Italian master sculptor Giuliano Vangi, Bernard Buffet Museum which collects and displays artworks by French artist Bernard Buffet who is also famous in Japan. There is also Yasushi Inoue Literary Museum and great cafes, restaurants and natural park.

Clematis flowers are in full blossom in May and June each year.

Closed – Wednesday (open if holidays, closed on the next day of holidays)
– New year holidays
Business housrs – 10:00-18:00 (Apr to Aug)
– 10:00-17:00 (Feb, Mar, Sep and Oct)
– 10:00-16:30 (Nov to Jan)
* Last admission time: 30 minutes before close
Fee – Clematis Garden / Vangi Sculpture Garden Museum
Adult 1200 yen, High school and College students 800 yen, middle and elementary school students 500 yen (varies on seasons) – Bernard Buffet Museum / Bernard Buffet Children’s Museum
Adult 1000 yen, High school and college students 500 yen, middle and elementary students are free.- Yasushi Inoue Literary Museum
Adult 500 yen, High school and college students 400 yen, middle and elementary students are free.
Getting there – By car
From Tokyo area: from Tomei Susono IC, via Route 246 to Numazu area, approx. 10 km.
From Nagoya area: from Tomei Numazu IC, via Route 246 to Gotemba area, approx 5 km.
– By train
Get off at Mishima Station of JR Tokaido Line, take a free shuttle bus from north exit of the station (Shinkansen exit).
