A large gathering of most talented Ninja!
The Fuma Ninja was a Ninja clan that served under Hojo tribe, a feudal lord of Odawara in Sengoku period. The chief of Fuma Nija was called Fuma Kotaro over generations, the most outstanding Kotaro Ninja of the clan was the one in its fifth generation who had so far became a famous figure in Japanese comics and games.
The Fuma festival is designated to expand the culture of Fuma Ninja clan.

The stage shows started at 1 pm. It kicked off with a performance of Taiko (a traditional drum of Japan).
Taiko performance always plays an important role in traditional festivals in Japan.
Today’s performance was led by a team called Shu, which perform Taiko in unique style. The members of the team had been practicing Taiko frequently with passions while they all have their own jobs.
It is said that you can express the strengths of wind as well as the flow of river by making subtle changes of the sound and rhythm of the drumbeat. How wonderful is that!

The next performance was Tate-Enbu. This is the man everybody had been waiting for! Mr. Masashi Goda, a professional actor who also serves as a sightseeing ambassador of Odawara. Mr. Gota played the role of Fuma Kotaro during the performance of Tate-Enbu. He is so cool!

Here comes the villain of the show. A legendary Ninja called Hanzo Hattori! He is with his two servants.

Oh! No! A servant of Kotaro was half murdered by Hanzo! (/ﾟДﾟ)/

Kotaro comes to rescue! As I expected, Kotaro defeated Hanzo without any problems. Soooo cool!

This marked the end of the Enbu performance. Mr. Gota left the stage while Ninja started to instruct the children with techniques of Tate.
I made a tour around the campus of the festival during the break.
There were various entertainment segments such as Shuriken (throwing knife), Fukiya (blowgun dart) and archery, as well as hands-on classes of Shuriken and Ninja labyrinth. You can even ride a horse!
I tried Syuriken and archery. It was difficult than I thought! (.•˘_˘•.)

When I returned, there were many Ninjas on stage performing Ninja Enbu (a dance of Ninja). It was rather a comical one compare to the previous show. The techniques performed by Ninja was just amazing! o(>ω<)o

There is more to enjoy! You can rental Ninja costumes right in the campus! That why I had seem so many children who wore Ninja cloths here.

Finally I took few picｔures with the Ninjya (๑¯ิε¯ิ๑)
By the way, female Ninja is called Kunoichi.

There is different air in Sotoura Beach from other beaches near the Shirahama Ohama Beach.

I took a bus at Izukyu-Shimoda Station and walked for three minutes after getting off the bus.
This quiet Sotoura Beach in the inlet is popular with a woman in particular and children.

A sandy beach in a short range but seawater with a wave is quiet is very beautiful.
It seems rather rough sand. Sand is hot by a sunburn. . .

Located among small islands natural scenery here is beautiful.

There is only one seaside cottage (stand) but is convenient relatively because anything gathers from a rental article to the restaurant.

I went down from Izukyu-Shimoda Station again on the bus and got off at Kisami bus stop.
I thought that Kisami Ohama beach was very close to the bus stop but it wasn’t. At last I saw the sea on foot for 15 minutes.

This beach is among mountains and it makes good natural scenery and environment. And the atmosphere settles down better as it far away from a busy national highway.
There are an open cafe and a French restaurant in the beach and you can enjoy the romantic tropical country mood.
It attract a surfer and the group as a little-known spot-like beach. I saw some foreign tourists.

Seawater is clear relatively, but wave is great.
Sand is too soft and can hardly walk.
Whenever seawater hits rock of the shore, we put up expensive sea spray.

Various sea play is possible while enjoying magnificent natural scenery. We recommend to person who is weak in crowded place.

Taking a bus from Izukyu-Shimoda Station I arrive at the Shirahama Ohama beach.
A white sandy beach, the blue ocean and the azure sky. My eyes caught such a picturesque view.

The beach is full of swimmers.
Though waves are high, the water is transparent clear.
Sand is soft and beautiful, but hot! Just a little stepsIt hurts my sole of the foot.
The pain went out straight once I jumped into the sea.
Though it was noon of the midsummer, I wondered why would water here be so cold.
But is the point not the reason why people love summer beach.

In the first place Shirahama Beach is well known for beautiful natural scenery not to mention what is loved as beach.
The sea and combination of cliff are the best!

There is not seaside cottage in the beach, but there is place where there are 7-11 and FamilyMart and rental store and meal along the national highway.
There is Izu immediate hotel at the Shirahama Beach immediate very front, and accommodation is very convenient, too.
Here Shirahama Ohama beach loved to not only Japanese but also foreign tourist is right resort that is ideal.

Get off at Izukyu Imaihama-Kaigan Station and fifteen minutes walk will get you to the beach.

The Imaihama Beach has a similar atmosphere to Usami Beach, and an extensive sandy beach continues more than 1km.
A heavy wave approaches to the shore continuously. Sea looks dark probably because of rough wind and a wave.

Sand quality is fine and beautiful. But it is a little too soft and is hard to walk.
Besides, sand is already hot in the morning!
Water is cold against it. I thought “co…cold!” at the moment when I entered the sea.

Unlike the beach of Shimoda here is not very popular and less tourists.
I saw some of university students, I guess it must be popular among them.

There are three seaside cottages. There is a big hotel and accommodations by the sea which is convenient enough.

From Ito Station on Tokai bus you will arrive at the Kawana Beach in around 20 minutes ride.

Iruka Shore and Kawana Beach next each other. It lies Iruka Beach Park inbetween.
Two places in a row but the have totally different atmospheres.

Kawana beach is not a sandy beach but the seaside of gems and stones . Thanks to the gravel shore of Iruka is quiet.
Though every person has different preference, I like here better.
As for my impression of Izu, the seawater here is the most beautiful! It is so awesome, deep and clear.
We can view scenery of the circumference beautifully to far-off island on clear day, too.

This shore is short, but is not crowded in particular because there are not so many tourists.

There is fish in water! We escape at great speed when we run after.
Still we saw small fish a lot of families caught by.
And there are quite many people who are, or do fishing in beach Park. I am interested than fishing toward the sea.

Person who does families, fishing to be caught in university student, fish playing volleyball. We can enjoy various sea play here.

However, there is place where we cannot be satisfied only with one.
Because it is far from Izu immediate Kawana Station, traffic is inconvenient! Although there is bus stop near, only as for one, bus goes an hour. It takes half-hour soon when we walk to Kawana Station.
Because there are few buses, please check bus timetable well.

After visiting Usami Beach we jumped in Ito Line again.
From Ito Station and Orange Beach is in seven minutes walk distance.

The shopstaff at the seaside cottage comes to invite immediately when you approach the beach.
Because there are five seaside cottages in Orange Beach, competition is indeed intense.
But it is convenient for tourists.

Orange Beach is artificial beach maintained neatly, and there are seafront and phoenix, and the southern country mood drifts.
On the other hand, we feel the whole shore to be small because seafront interrupts view of the sea.

Wave is calm, too, and seawater is clear, too.
But sand is hot because, as is expected, it is the day of midsummer! Because you are hard when it is bare foot, please be careful.

And it is crowded with tourists because it is popular spot. There are many foreign tourist, too.
Because there is Ito Malin town near, both shopping and meal are very convenient.

After 10 minutes walk from JR Usami Station he we are to the seashore.
There are few tourists, and some seasides which usually is lively seems a bit lonely in the morning.

Because this beach is not spoiled yet it is plain, simple scenery.
There’s nothing blocking in your sight, all extensive Gulf of Sagami.

It’s connected to the small river which flowed from somewhere. Children play happily in shallow river.
There are a lot of stones in the shore so much! It has a shape that we are beautiful because we have been polished to seawater in long time. Combination with clear seawater has special flavor.
Sand is very soft in fine sand.

Getting out of JR Atami Station and passing through Nakamise shopping street, 15 more minutes walking will get you to the beach.

As is expected, as a prominent tourist city, high-class Hotels stand along the shore, and a town is designed beautifully.

Because it is cloudy, the distance of the sea seems just blur and cannot be seen.
I think the number of tourists is relatively little.

It is comfortable to sit on soft sand.
The wave is soft and quiet, and water is very clear.
Originally because temperature is low, water here are cold too, but are not satisfied when after all they do not enter. (≧▼≦;)

The seafront is well equipped, and there is “the Saint light of the lover” at an end of the path. The row of palm trees along the pavement to help creating a romantic atmosphere.

There are a seaside cottage, a restaurant if you cross the main street between Lawson and the beach hotel at the entrance of the sandy beach. Both the meal and shopping are convenient relatively.
