The 8th Great Bread Forefather Festival on Jan. 18 and 19

In order to commemorate Nirayama-daikan Mr. Tanan Egawa’s great achievement of making the first bread in Japan’s history, Izuno-kuni City Tourist Association will hold the 8th Great Bread Forefather Festival on Jan. 18 Saturday and 19 Sunday, 2014 at Nirayama History Theater of Nirayama Culture Center.
During the main event “High school students’ Bread Making Contest,” the “Izu new cherry tomatoes section” competes for the skill of three branches of “the California raisin section “,” hand training section” of the new section by “high school students Bakery contest of the main event of the whole country”.
In addition, hold a contest made with bread with Nirayama reverberatory furnace aiming at world’s cultural heritage registration as a motif, “a making of reverberatory furnace little child Bakery contest”. The contest is on 1/18 Saturday, and the commendation ceremony is on 1/19 Sunday.

      ※Because the parking lot is limited, we recommend the use of the public transport on the occasion of arrival.

 10:30 to 11:10 on both days    General guidance (event reception desk)
 ※Up to 50 person every day
lengthen dough
 10:30 to 12:15 on both days at General Guidance desk (event reception desk):
 ※Only for the primary schoolchild, and up to 20 person everyday.
