Hakone Sekisho is a important historical remain among the history of transportation of the Edo period.
The reconstruction work of the Sekisho used tools and methods of the Edo period. 140 years passed, and the Sekisho reappeared at the lakeside of Lake Ashinoko.
The dignified appearance impressed the heart of people and just like you have entered the Edo era.
The Sekisho stand in a location of great view, it is the entrance of the travel Hakone and Lake Ashinoko.
The Hakone Sekisho brings the historical romance of Hakone to its visitors.

Business hours Year round from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (in the case of a group reservation, the reception time can be adjusted) Winter season (Dec. 1st to end of Feb. ): 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Last admission time is 30 minutes before the closing.

Getting there [by train or bus] ●From Odawara Station, take a bus for Hakone-machi for 55 minutes and get off at the bus stop of Hakone Sekisho-ato, walk for 2 minutes.
●From Hakone-Yumoto Station, take a bus for Hakone-machi for 40 minutes and get off at the bus stop of Hakone Sekisho-ato, walk for 2 minutes.[by car] ●Drive along the Odawara-Atsugi Road, 40 minutes from Odawara-nishi IC.
●50 minutes drive from Tomei-Gotemba IC
●40 minutes drive from Mishima on Natioal Road No. 1
