There are several Shichifukujin-Meguri courses in Tokyo metropolitan area, Shounan area and Izu Peninsula. The newly opened Shichifukujin-Meguri course of Hakone is running through the center area of Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park, linking many tourist spots such as Hakone-Kyukaido (Hakone’s old time street), Suginamiki (Cedar Avenue), Lake Ashinoko, Mt. Fuji and Hakone-Sekisho. Tourist can walk through these spots while having a chance to learn about Hakone’s traditional handcrafts as well as enjoying high quality hot spring spa.

Among the seven statues of the Shichifujijin (seven gods), except for the statue of Benzaiten which had been worshipped here since long ago, other six were newly sculptured by Mr. Koujiro Ito of Kouun Sculpture Institute. These seven statues featuring unique design had made a dent in the realm of sculpture.

There are many ways you can have fun when touring the course of Shichifukujin. For example, you can have a walk on the stone pavement of Hakone-Kyukaido (Hakone’s old time street), take a boat over Lake Ashinoko, drive on the road along side the lake while having a spectacular view of Mt. Fuji, or play tennis at here.

Along the course there are many accommodation facilities and rest area as well as hot spring spa and other recreation facilities. The course is well-suited both for a one-day sightseeing trip and a multi-day touring plan.
