Hakone Botanical Garden of Wetlands

It is the botanical garden which focus mainly on plant inhabiting the water damp ground of a river or wetlands including moor.

Various flowers for each season

There are around 1,700 types of plant flowering each season.

Basic Information

Business hours From 9:00 to 17:00 (last admission 16:30)
Opening season: From March 20 to Nov. 30 (No closed days during opening season), Winter closed season: From Dec. 1 to March 19
Fees 700 yen for adults / 400 yen for children
[Group visitor] (more than 15 people) : From 20 people or more. 500 yen for adults, 350 yen for high school students, 300 yen for junior high school students and elementary school children, and 200 yen for kindergarten children.
※On Saturday, Sunday and holidays, visitors not associated with any group, at the age of junior high school or younger can enter for free. Visitors at the age of 65 or older can apply for a special discount (600 yen). Please ask for the discount at the ticket counter on the day of the visit.
Person with a physical disability certificate and up to one person who is escorting him or her can apply for a special discount (600 yen).
In either case, other discount coupons can not be used together. Please understand.
Parking lot 100 parking lots are available for free

Getting there ✿From the Gotemba (the Tomei Expressway) area
・By car
From the Tomei Expressway Gotemba IC, toward the Hakone area via the National Road no. 138 for 20 minutes. Turn right at “Sengokuhara” intersection, and turn right at the Y-shaped way with a flower shop, from there drive for 1 minute.
・By route bus
From Gotemba Station, take a Hakone Tozan bus for Sengoku, and get off at “Sengoku Annaijo-mae”bus stop, from there walk for 8 minutes.✿By express bus (reservation required)
From the West Exit of Shinjuku Station, take a Odakyu Express Bus via Gotemba, get off at “Sengoku Annaijo-mae” bus stop, from there walk for 8 minutes.
Also can purchase the ticket of Hakone Botanical Garden Highway Bus (include admission ticket)✿From the Odawara area (Odawara-Atsugi Expressway, Seisho bypass) area
・By car
At miyanoshita, enter the No. 138 National Road from the No.1 National Road (drive pass the flashing traffic light) for around 15 minutes, turn right at the intersection with traffic light of “Sengokuhara”, turn into the road on the right side at the Y-shaped road with a flower shop, drive for about 1 minute to reach the destination.
・By train
○Take a Shinkansen train, get off at Odawara Station of Tokaido Line. Take a bus from Odawara Station (East Exit No. 4 Bus stop).
○Take a express train or a romance-car train of Odakyu line for Hakone-Yumoto, get off at Hakone-Yumoto Station.
・By route bus
○Take a bus at Odawara Station (East Exit No. 4 bus stop) or take a Hakone Tozan bus departure from Hakone-Yumoto Station for Kojiri and Tougendai.
○About 45 minutes from Odawara, about 30 minutes from Hakone-Yumoto, getting off at “Sengoku Annaijyo Mae” an 8-minute walk.
○About 30 minutes from Gora Station by the facility circulation bus “for Hakone Botanical Garden of Wetlands”.
