Izu Skyline is a toll road that stretch for approx. 40 kilometers connecting Atami-touge IC of Kannami-cho, Tagata-gun, Shizuoka and Amagi-kougen IC of Atami city.
The road runs through the mountainous landscape of eastern part of Izu Peninsula with many continuous curves and steep slopes, it was a harsh road requires better driving techniques than me to enjoy the great scenery while having a safe drive.
There are several parking areas alongside the road where you can park you car and have a clear view of the mountains of Izu.
The photos below were taken at Nishi-Tanna parking lots at 694m above sea level. These photos are little bit blurred by the fog and mist in the sky, however on sunny days you can have a clear view of Mt. Ashitaka, Mt. Fuji, Tanna and Mt. Komagatake and so on.
