A mountain born from congelation of magma in ancient times.
The mountain rouse up abruptly from the linear landscape of riverside of Kano River, its rugged body looks like powerful muscles which are believed to protect people around the area.
It is considered a symbol for Ohito, it stood rigidly for centuries served as a signpost for travelers in the past. The mountain is 342 meters above sea lever, it is not so hight but when compare it rugged body to the soothly running Kano River, it look stand out of the scene around it. It had been chosen as one of Hundred Nature Scene of Shizuoka.
The mountain is also a famous rock climbing spot due to its steeply rouse body, there are several hiking courses too, which can be enjoyed by families.
From the top of the mountain, Mt. Amagi, Hakone, and Mt. fuji can be viewed.
