Mt. Komagatake

The mountaintop of Mt. Komagatake is at the height of 1,327m above sea level, to reach it you have to take a mountain climbing cable car. (There are also special courses for hiking) Due to the difference of the altitude, the temperature at the mountaintop is 40 degrees cooler than the the mountain foot area. A lot of alpine plants inhabit here, the superb view is chosen as the 50 selections of Kanagawa picturesque sceneries.

Ropeway

The distance between Lake Ashinoko and the mountaintop of Komagatake is 1800m, it takes 7 minutes using a cable car to climb the mountain. Once you reached the top, Lake Ashinoko spread under the sky, on the sunny day Mount Fuji can be overlooked.

Hakone Motomiya-jinjya Shrine

The Hakone-Motomiya Shrine was rebuilt at 1964 by using money raised by donation. Ever since that, as a rear shrine of the Hakone-jinja Shrine located at the shore of Lack Ashinoko, a lot of worshipers visit here every year.
