Tsukui Lake of Shiroyama Park

Tsukui Lake of Shiroyama Park is located between the Shiroyama Park and also there is Shiroyama Dam around there. This site is a part of Kanagawa Prefecture. It is quite vast, around 47.5ha area. Until now there are Water Park, Flower Park, and Yanegoya District over there and it seems there will be a plan for more expansion in the future too.

After taking pictures from Sagami Lake Resort Forest Park, I tought “I am bit too early for sakura…” and were about to go back. But at the road, the sight of cherry-blossoms pinkish colour catch my eye and I changed my direction to take a quick look at Tsukui Lake, Shiroyama Park.
At first I just wanted to take a picture of sakura tree around the parking lot only. As I gaze around the parking lot, I looked toward the Tsukui Lake and also the mountains on the other side. So many sakura trees are blooming. Ah, what a terrific place for sightseeing! It seems like this place is pretty popular around here for the sakura trees along the slope.

Not waiting any longer, I quickly walked from the parking lot, crossed over the bridge, and strolled along the mountain-side. Probably because it was weekdays and not holidays that there were not too much people. The warm sunray shining through the tree branches and I have a nice slow pace walking while seeing the delightful cherry-blossom. This place is very suitable for you who want a relaxing hanami (cherry-blossom sightseeing).
Furthermore, if you take the 413 main street, you will find the Hana no Enchi (Flower Garden). There are sightseeing centre and terrace garden over there for you to enjoy. At the backside of the sightseeing centre there are some groups of people gathered below the cherry-blossom, enjoying the lovely flowers while chitchatting.
For this time, I didn’t go the water park and Hanegoya district. I more focused to appreciate the beauty of sakure instead. They also have programs for you to join in! Usually we just watch or listen a performance, but the flower garden have an outdoor experience establisment such as Mori no Concert (Forest Concert) and Mori no Kyōshitsu (Forest Class) for you and your family to take part together. Hm.. I think about going there again soon.
