About 3 kilos to the south of Shimoda in Izu Peninsula before the southernmost tip of Izu Peninsula, there is a cave called Cave of Dragon Palace.
It is located at the “Toji-iriguchi” (Toji entrance) of National highway No.136 intersection.

The Cave of Dragon Palace is at between Toji sand skiing area and Toji shore.

The huge empty canopy of the cave of 40-50 meters in diameter reflects an mysterious feel, as if you were in a great fort.

In addition, you can enjoy overlooking the cave from the promenade of the Dragon Palace Park in the upper point.

Rumor has it when you look downward the cave from up there, you see a heart-shaped bottom, and became a spot to visit for a couple.

You should drop in at Toji Sand Skiing Area and the Toji as well.
