Sagami lake is an artificial lake located in the Kanagawa Prefecture, Samigahara city, Midori-ku. At the east side of the lake, there is Sagami Lake Resort Pleasure Forest (below will be Sagami Lake Resort) with area around 20,000 M². This big resort is divided by 2 main zones. The first one is a delightful outdoor space for doing barbecue and camping in the nature. The next one is an amusement park that have around 30 types of attraction for you to have fun with family or boyfriend/girlfriend.
There are also other entertainment such as onsen, restaurant, shops, snack corner, dog field, et cetera. For more detailed information, please refer to Sagami Lake Resort website. No need to worry you can’t read Japanese because you can change it into English and also Chinese language.

Now, let’s take a closer look for the main event in this spring. One of the well-known cherry blossom spot around the Kantō area, Sagami Lake Cherry Blossom Festival! This event is being held from March 20 until April 12.
I would like to apologize, when I went to see the sakura at Sagami Lake Resort in March 30, the sakure were only blooming around 30% and haven’t show their real beauty.
This year full-bloom is around April 4 (Saturday). If you have a plan to visit the resort, please check in advance about the blooming state of the cherry blossom to get the best view of the flower. You can check it by clicking 「さくら祭り」 (sakura festival) at their website and see at the 「写真付きの開花状況」 (picture of the blooming condition) column.

When I went there on March 30, the weather is very clear and bright. We could even say it felt like its already summer. Even tough a little too fast to see the full bloom of sakura, but the nice weather and the cherry blossom that started to bloom gave a beautiful scenery. Also, don’t forget to challenge yourself by riding the Ōzoratengoku (lit. Paradise of Big Sky). By the night, you can see the mesmerizing Sagamakiko Illumilion (November 11, 2014 – April 12, 2015) light up the night.
