Jouganji was a family temple of Doi clan which assumes Sanehira Dohi as a father, built on the site of where there were the family’s private Hall. There were Buddhist Tower called Houkyouinntou, a couple of tens of multi-storied pagoda lines which makes this place family vault place of Doi clan, and because of its construction style and the fact that had been passed onto generations this temple is appointed as the historic spot of the prefecture.
