The maple town and tea-ceremony room

Please come to Oku-yugawara to enjoy the abundant scenery of colored leaves at fall.
There is a tea ceremony room designed by highly acclaimed architect where you can enjoy grean tea and feel the delightful scent of green tea in a tranquil atmosphere.

“Oku-yugawara, a tranquil land with wonderful scenery in each season”.

Enjoy the beautiful colored leaves and have a pure green tea in the specially designed tea room.
The best season to enjoy colored leaves in Oku-yugawara are from late November to early December.

● Tea-ceremony room

Period
From Saturday, November 16 to Sunday, December 1 of 2013

Open hours
From 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Fees
500 yen per person (Include admission, powdered green tea)

Contents
Enjoy green tea at a tranquil tea-ceremony room designed by famous architect.
You can also apply for Japanese tea ceremony lecture. (Reservation not required.)
※From Tuesday, Nov. 19 to Thursday, 21, the tea ceremony lecture is closed.

Place:
Take a bus for Oku-yugawara and get off at the last stop “Oku-yugawara”, 10 minutes walk from the bus stop.
Tea-ceremony room located near Yugawara Parkway entrance (784-29, Miyaue, Yugawara-machi)

● Hiking at the Momiji-no-sato of Oku-Yugawara

Date: Saturday, November 30, 2013
Course: Tenshozan hiking course and Ikemine hiking course
(Approxi. 8km)
Participation fee: 1000 yen per person (includes entrance fee, insurance fee and bus fare)
※A prior application is necessary. See details from here.

● Souvenir shops

Period: Only on Saturday, Sunday and National holidays during the season (rain out)
Hours: From 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Place: Take a bus for Oku-yugawara and get off at “Oku-yugawara Iriguchi”

● Getting There

◆[by bus] From JR Yugawara Station, take a bus for “Oku-yugawara” and get off at the last stop “Oku-yugawara” bus stop or get off at “Oku-yugawara Iriguchi” bus stop (ride for approx. 20 minutes)

◆[by taxi] Yugawara Station → Oku-Yugawara (Approx. 15 minutes)

◆[by car] From the traffic light of “Yugawara Station Iriguchi” of Route 135, drive toward Hakone area via Prefecture Road No. 75. Near Yugawara Parkway.

※During the tea-ceremony room opening season (Nov. 16 to Dec. 1), there will be a temporary parking lot (free) at Oku-yugawara Ochaseki (Orange mark on the map).
※No parking space for trailer bus.
Due to the parking spaces are limited, please use the town‐managed toll parking lot (yellow mark on the map) in case of no vacancies.

●To maple town…

Take a bus for “Oku-yugawara” and get off at “Yugawara Iriguchi” bus stop for about 20 minutes. 40 minutes walk from Ikemine bridge.
(“Momiji-no-sato (Maple town)” is located in the Ikemine Hiking course, the hiking course can be toured only on foot, you can not drive a car. )

※If the hiking course is hard for your to touring, we recommend you get off at the last stop “Oku-yugawara” and walk via the paved road toward Chaya area. There are many maples, and this street is very clean, too.

●To tea-ceremony room…

We walk paved gentle slope after getting off along the way at bus terminal “depths Yugawara” bus stop for “depths Yugawara” for approximately 15 minutes. Tea-ceremony room is on the left side along way.

●To branch place of souvenir…

Take a bus for “Oku-yugawara”, get off at “Oku-yuagawara Iriguchi” stop for approx. 20 minutes. Ikemine Bridge.
