One and only exhibit of frozen coelacanth.
“Surely the key to the mystery of life lies down in the deep blue” - from director’s remarks –
Displays of the living fossil ‘a coelacanth’ with educational panel displays at the head, you can see many creatures with various shapes from the deep sea.

Address 83, Senbonminatomachi, Numazu City
Opening hours 10:00 a.m. to 18:00 p.m. (open till 19:00 p.m. from mid July to August 31)
Year round (occasional temporary suspension due to maintenance check)
Admission 1,600 yen for adult (high school and university students) 800 yen for children (primary and junior high students) , 400 yen for infants (4 years or older)
Contact 055-954-0606 (operation hours : weekdays from 10:00 a.m. to 18:00 p.m.)
Getting there [train] from the JR Tokaido Line “Numazu Station” south exit transfer to bus to “Numazu Port” it takes about 15 minutes.
By car from Shin-Tomei Nagaizumi Numazu IC, about 20-30 minutes toward Numazu area
