Joren no Taki Waterfall

Parking lot 110 free parking lots
Access by public transport: Take Izu-hakone Railway to “Shuzenji Station”, change to bus and get off at Jouren no Taki stop. It’ll take approx. 35 min.

Joren no Taki Waterfall

It is the very beautiful waterfall which was chosen as Best 100 selections of Japanese waterfalls. It is 25m in height and 7m in width. Jouren-shida (fern) which grows around waterfall and shows a beautiful scenery is a natural monument of Shizuoka Pref. Around a waterfall Jouren no Taki you can enjoy fishing (admission-paid). The water is very clear. You can look at the fish swimming even from outside of the water.

Neighboring restaurants

Around Joren no Taki waterfall there line restaurants and shops and serve dishes, sweets and snacks. You can taste local dish using the very fresh wasabi. Must be worth dropping in.

Wasabi field

The water nearby is very clear and cool, water temperature is around 16 degrees Celsius in the midsummer. Therefore, it’s quite suitable for cultivation of the wasabi and you can see a cultivation scene near this waterfall. Don’t miss the beauty of the water.
